Medicate?
“Resist your temptation to lie by speaking of separation from God, otherwise, we might have to medicate you. In the ocean a lot goes on beneath your eyes. Listen, they have clinics there too for the insane who persist in saying things like: “I am independent from the sea, God is not always around gently pressing against my body.” ~ Hafiz
I love this poem by Hafiz. I am lying when I speak of separation. I am insane when I deny the presence of God in everything I see and do not see. What medication could you possibly prescribe for me when I deny Oneness, when I ignore divinity and claim the ego’s ‘brilliance’ as all I need? Could it be that medication is called Love? When I hide in my bunker of self-hatred and deny God within, the only medication that will work (always) is for you to say to me, lovingly and with conviction: “My brother, what you are believing is not True, you have chosen wrongly. Isn’t it time to Choose Again?”

Walk in Love?

This is so beautiful. The image of this old body treading lightly and ever so gently upon the treasures under my feet is a joyful one. However, this is clearly not a physical challenge to nimble-ize my plodding steps, no, this is a declaration of wonder and joyful acceptance. This is a dare to even just become aware of the treasures, to accept the possibility of treasure ...
