The purpose of a Choose Again Group Therapy Circle is to identify and release the inner barriers to the experience of inner peace, joy and freedom that are natural to your being.
These group therapy sessions are led by experienced facilitators using the powerful Six Steps to Freedom process to go to root cause of unwanted patterns of thought and behaviour.
Whether you are working through your own issues, or simply being present with others as they process - these session offer powerful healing to all.

What you might expect in a group therapy circle
The general flow of a circle
A typical group therapy circle usually lasts for about 2 hours.
It begins with a reading from an inspiring text chosen by the facilitator. The reading is followed by a short meditation in silence, contemplating the text and allowing any inner-reactions to appear in surface in the mind.
The circle facilitator would then open the circle to participants, checking in with each one to see if they have any responses to the text, or if there are any challenging life issues they would like to look into.
From here on, each circle has it's own unique shape. A circle very much depends on the participants and what they are willing to bring to the table.
Participants who offer upsetting situation to the circle are guided by the facilitator to find the root causes of the situation, using the Six Step to Freedom process.
In general we at Choose Again try to keep circles focused on processing upsets, rather than on discussion. Nevertheless, the circle is an opportunity to clarify questions and doubts about this work as well as to gather insights and inspiration from others in the circle.

What issues is it okay for me to address in group therapy circle?
Any issue or question are welcome in the circle. Whether it is a mild irritation that occurred on the way to the circle, or if you it is a deeply troubling situation - the facilitator will invite you to look into the issue using the Six-Step to Freedom process to find the root cause of the upset.
"There are no small upsets" is a key principle in circles. For newcomers it may be surprising to recognize that even the smallest irritation can lead to a deep and powerful healing.
What we also discover in circle is that our core negative beliefs are remarkably similar. And likewise the healing of these beliefs is deeply shared. In the circle we support each other to move through long held beliefs, by acting as mirrors and reminders to each other of our inherent nature of health and wholeness.

What if I don't get to process or if I don't want to process?
Typically not everyone will get to do a process during a circle. But nonetheless all present benefit from being witness to the healing that happens in a circle. One of the most typical statements we hear from people who join a circle for the first time : "I was so amazed to see how other people's process were exactly like mine! Your process is my own!"
