Where the Self can be reborn in safety and in peace...

This special topics workshop offered at the Choose Again Retreat Centre in Costa Rica will be tailored specifically for people in the helping professions: in the fields of mental, physical, and spiritual health and wellness.

For those of you who have dedicated your lives to giving to others, we offer you an opportunity to take much-needed time for yourself, to go inwards and find a deeper well from which refresh and recharge. 

In this special retreat you will be offered a safe, strong, and confidential place to:

  • Explore root cause of chronic stress, anxiety, and depression
  • Address issues of burnout and compassion fatigue
  • Look at the root of workaholism, and related issues with work-life balance
  • Rediscover the spark of true caring, for others as well as for yourself
  • Discover a set of tools to help deal with difficult situations in your everyday life, strengthening emotional and spiritual resilience
  • Explore what many experience as a subtle sense of imposter syndrome: I'm helping others, but have problems myself
  • Unpack issues around substance abuse​, or other less healthy coping mechanisms
  • Connect with a group of like-minded people experiencing many of the same issues

Location: The Choose Again Centre in Costa Rica

The workshop will take place at the world-renowned El Cielo, the Choose Again Retreat Centre in Costa Rica. Summer is a wonderful time to be at El Cielo, as the climate is breezy, and the surrounding jungle and lake keeps the air cool.  At this time of year, the weather is sunny during the morning, with a possible thunderstorm in the afternoon, clearing to rainbows and spectacular sunsets in the later afternoon. A beautiful, healing environment!

How empowering is it to be told you have a choice. You are either a victim or the master of the universe. The messengers are here at El Cielo in Costa Rica. Come to El Cielo to experience unavoidable love and peace! The daily walks, the yoga and movement classes keep the body moving which is essential in processing emotion. I benefitted tremendously from the 2 sessions of holotropic breathing during which I was able to clear pre-verbal traumas. The food for 10 days, 3 meals a day is superb. 5 star delicious. THERAPEUTIC PROGRAM
16 x2.5 hour therapeutic group sessions led by Choose Again counsellors,  maximum 10 participants per group
• 2 x2 hour life-changing Holotropic breathwork sessions

• Daily yoga, yoga nidra and/or creative movement, with instruction
