Building Peace with 100% matching donations
We recently had the great pleasure of welcoming back two long time advocates for Choose Again to our El Cielo retreat center in Costa Rica.
Their enthusiasm for our growth has brought a generous offer to match our current building project donations, dollar for dollar, while we work together to greatly improve our staff housing. Here is what they had to say:

So, who would have known.
I recently visited El Cielo with my partner and fell in love once again … the magic of the land and wisdom of the teaching, enchanting and captivating.
My partner has been a supporter of Diederik and the teachings offered at the center for many years.
There is now some unfinished business and I believe it is incumbent upon all who have been to the center to participate in the completion of the unfinished building designed to home the resident teachers of the Course's message, those who have made a long-term commitment to share lessons and wisdom with all who seek.
My partner and I have agreed to match all donations to this ‘building project’. It is estimated to take $80,000 to complete, meaning there is a call to raise $40,000 from the El Cielo community.
I believe this to be a beautiful gift of giving in support of the commitment and dedication provided by Diederik during the last twenty years.
We have given Diederik the green light to proceed with construction while he is at the center for the winter.
It is an opportunity for each of us to pay it forward.
I know when we are here we are immersed in the program and the magical gardens and then returning home life happens. This is an opportunity to rekindle the Spirit of El Cielo, remembering our individual experiences and how we benefited from our lessons taught. So give back in honour of “Us”.
In acknowledgment of your loving gift a stone will be placed with your ‘one word check-in’, ours will say: “Pathway of Love” honouring all who made it possible to complete the housing project.

Two units are complete, Freddie and Stace and I have a new, private space of around 500 sq ft - palatial - and I cannot tell you what a difference that makes, I never imagined that 500 sq ft could feel so big! We have privacy, we can talk without having to get in a car, we can make a cup of tea or a piece of toast, no-one knocks on the door at all times of the day or night - oh, well, you get the idea.
