“Life is never made unbearable by circumstances, but only by lack of meaning and purpose.” ~ Viktor Frankl
Fascinating. Could it not be that a possible desire of wanting to abolish one’s past is not necessarily because of the suffering inflicted along the way, but because of a lack of understanding--i.e Why the hell did that happen!? Taking from Frankl’s logic, what if, instead of the relinquishment of the past, the task becomes adopting the unwanted with meaningful integration?
