Principles
The program is based on the holistic principles of Transpersonal Psychology, Buddhism, Attitudinal Healing and other, universal, spiritual teachings.
The theory behind our work can be described as follows: at a very early age we make up beliefs about ourselves. The self we think we are is a set of beliefs ranging from positive to limiting. The limiting beliefs drive behavior such as substance abuse or may lead to symptoms such as depression and chronic anxiety. The client is most often unaware of these beliefs even though they will inevitably demand evidence. A belief can only be sustained if it attracts evidence or proof of its reality.
The philosophy is quite simple; however, it does require practice and diligence on the part of the client to experience long range results.
- The essence of our being is love.
- Health is inner peace. Healing is letting go of fear.
- Giving and receiving are the same.
- We can let go of the past and of the future.
- Now is the only time there is and each instant is for giving.
- We can live free of addictions
- We can learn to love ourselves and others by forgiving rather than judging.
- We can become love finders rather than fault finders.
- We can choose and direct ourselves to be peaceful inside regardless of what is happening outside.
- We are students and teachers to each other.
- We can focus on the whole of life rather than the fragments.
- Since love is eternal, death need not be viewed as fearful.
- We can always perceive ourselves and others as either extending love or giving a call for help.
